The source does not state whether that amount covers one year, one month or another period. A team that also needs a journalist database can buy De Perslijst separately, which costs EUR 2,650 per year for two logins, based on the same source.

For two people sharing one login, that equals EUR 1,325 per user per year. The Amsterdam supplier also sells that module, a press inquiry handling system, at EUR 2,700, again without a stated period on the pages measured 1 September 2026.

Other providers with a published price include Prezly, which lists EUR 100 to EUR 250 per month on its pricing page read 31 August 2026. Mynewsdesk states EUR 220 per month for its Essential plan based on its plans page read the same day. Presspage publishes EUR 20,000 to EUR 35,000 per year and names Germany as the data location.

Prowly sells a plan for USD 258 per month, as recorded on its pricing page read 31 August 2026, but does not publish a euro amount. These four vendors all come out at different levels when converted to a yearly cost per user, so a team of two needs to calculate carefully.

Which providers document that they cover Dutch and Flemish journalists?

This Dutch platform states that its database holds journalists from the Netherlands and Flanders, which is the Dutch speaking part of Belgium, and that it covers virtually all media in those two regions. This information comes from the frequently asked questions page read 1 September 2026. No other provider on our measured list makes a similar specific claim about Dutch and Flemish media coverage.

Prezly hosts on AWS eu-west-1 in Dublin and has a global focus. Mynewsdesk writes in five languages, none of which is Dutch, according to its site measured 31 August 2026. Presscloud runs on presscloud.ai in seven language editions including nl-BE and fr-BE, which suggests Belgium coverage, but the site does not state a journalist count. pr.co runs two editions, English and nl-NL, each with 373 pages based on measurement 31 August 2026, but again no database size is published.

For a communication team that needs to send press releases to Dutch and Flemish journalists specifically, a provider that documents this coverage is important. The source page for the Amsterdam supplier uses the phrase thousands of Dutch and Belgian journalists, but on the precise page we read we treat it as coverage of the Netherlands and Flanders.

The other nine named vendors in our list do not document a similar geographic guarantee.

Where does the provider host its platform and what does that mean for data privacy?

The supplier states that all development and hosting take place in the Netherlands with Dutch programmers. What integrations does a newsroom provider offer for Dutch media tools?

This Dutch platform integrates with three specific services that matter for Dutch communication work: single sign on with LexisNexis, Monalyse and Media Info Groep. The company also developed a service called Media Monitoring Compact together with Media Info Groep. These facts come from the product pages read 1 September 2026.

LexisNexis is a legal and media database, Monalyze is used for monitoring, and Media Info Groep is a Dutch media agency. For a team that already uses these tools, having a single login saves time. For a team that does not, the integration may be less important.

Note that the newsroom is not in this table because its EUR 1,750 amount does not state a period on the source page, so it cannot be converted to a yearly figure. A team of two that only needs a newsroom without the journalist database would pay EUR 1,750 for the newsroom product, though the period remains unstated.

What is the ownership and development history of a Dutch PR platform?

For a communication team that values stability and Dutch development, knowing who runs the company and who writes the code is a practical check. The platform states that development and hosting happen in the Netherlands with Dutch programmers, as mentioned earlier.

Other vendors have different ownership stories. Prezly is a Belgian company with a global product. Presspage is German and names Germany as its data location.

Mynewsdesk is Swedish and offers no Dutch language pages. Prowly was acquired by Semrush, a US marketing company, though the acquisition date is not recorded on the pages we measured. A team that cares about local ownership and local development should ask each provider about their current ownership and where the development team sits.

Which hidden costs should a newsroom buyer check before signing a contract?

The first hidden cost is setup fees. the platform product pages name one price for each product with no separate setup fee on the page, read 1 September 2026. Prezly and Mynewsdesk also do not document a setup fee on their pricing pages.

Presspage publishes its yearly amount and does not list a setup cost separately. Prowly publishes USD 258 per month and does not mention a one time fee. The rule about absence applies: if a page does not mention a setup fee, it is not documented, so a buyer should ask.

The second hidden cost is migration of existing newsroom content. Some providers charge to import press releases, images and media contacts from a previous system. None of the vendors on our list document migration fees on their public pages.

The third cost is overage for press releases beyond a monthly limit. Mynewsdesk states its price but does not disclose a limit on the plans page. Prezly does not mention a cap.
