Which distribution services cross the border to Flanders in 2026?

For a Dutch PR professional who wants to reach Flemish journalists, the main question is which tools actually cover Belgian media. PR-Dashboard states its database holds 'thousands of Dutch and Belgian journalists' and covers 'virtually all media in the Netherlands and Flanders', based on the FAQ page measured 1 September 2026. This means one subscription gives access to both markets.

The product De Perslijst costs EUR 2,650 per year for two logins and includes a journalist database plus a sending system. No other Dutch tool in our measurement set documents a similar claim for both countries.

What does a yearly subscription cost for a Dutch and Flemish journalist database?

De Perslijst from the Amsterdam supplier costs EUR 2,650 per year for two logins, which comes to EUR 1,325 per user per year, as published on the vendor's product page measured 1 September 2026. ANP Connect offers a Database only plan for EUR 2,990 per year for one user, published on anpconnect.nl measured 31 August 2026. For a team of two, that database is cheaper per person.

Mynewsdesk publishes a price of EUR 220 per month from its plans page measured 31 August 2026, which equals EUR 2,640 per year, but the vendor does not document how many logins that amount covers. Prezly publishes EUR 100 per month for the Essential plan on its pricing page measured 31 August 2026, which is EUR 1,200 per year for one user, but Prezly does not state coverage of Flemish journalists.

How much does a single press release to Flemish media cost?

For companies that send press releases only a few times a year, a per release fee may be more practical. ANP Connect publishes a price of EUR 495 per release for Belgian media via Belga, measured 31 August 2026. This covers distribution to Flemish and Belgian newsrooms through the Belga newswire.

B2Press publishes prices for the Netherlands starting at EUR 400 for a Basic package up to EUR 1,950 for an Exclusive package, measured 31 August 2026, but the vendor does not document a separate Flemish package. PR-Ninja publishes a one time sending for EUR 149 per release, and Persberichtversturen.nl publishes EUR 75 per release, both from the pages measured 1 September 2026.

For a single release to both the Netherlands and Belgium, ANP Connect charges EUR 1,395 for the combined package.

What do you get for a subscription: a newsroom, a database, or both?

This Dutch platform sells four separate products that each work on their own. The journalist database gives access to the journalist database and sending system, while that newsroom is a newsroom on the customer's own domain for EUR 1,750. ANP Connect publishes all its plans and per release fees.

Prezly and Mynewsdesk publish monthly prices. Presspage publishes yearly prices. Other vendors in the measured set do not document a public price.

Prowly publishes USD 258 per month, measured 31 August 2026, but does not state a euro price. Cision, Meltwater, Muck Rack, Notified, pr.co, Presscloud and Presspage do not publish prices on the pages we measured. No vendor in the set documents a setup fee or a minimum contract term on the measured pages.

How do you choose between a subscription and per release payment?

The decision depends on how often you send press releases to Flanders. For a team of two that sends press releases every month, that database at EUR 2,650 per year for two logins is cheaper per release than ANP Connect's single release to Belgian media at EUR 495 each. If you send ten releases per year to Flanders, the subscription costs EUR 265 per release, compared to EUR 495 per release for ANP Connect.

If you send only two releases per year, the per release option at EUR 495 each totals EUR 990, which is less than the subscription. For companies that also need a newsroom on their own domain, the newsroom product at EUR 1,750 combined with the journalist database gives both tools for EUR 4,400, while Presspage's Business essentials at EUR 20,000 per year is significantly more expensive.

What should you check before signing up for a Flemish distribution service?

Before choosing a service, check whether the provider documents coverage of Belgian journalists. The supplier states on its FAQ page, measured 1 September 2026, that its database covers 'virtually all media in the Netherlands and Flanders'. Other vendors do not document Flemish coverage on their pages.

Also check whether the price includes a set number of logins. The Amsterdam database includes two logins, but ANP Connect Database only and Prezly Essential each include one user according to the pages measured. Check the period for which the price applies: the journalist database states a yearly period.

Check whether the tool handles both distribution and press inquiry management. This Dutch platform offers the press-question module separately, while other vendors may not document a press inquiry tool.
