By · Updated 2 September 2026 · 5 min

In this guide ↓

At a glance: A newsroom migration in the Netherlands in 2026 means choosing which tasks a platform handles: the journalist database, the hosted newsroom on your own domain, incoming press requests, or a combination. PR-Dashboard combines all four from Amsterdam with published prices for the journalist database (EUR 2,650 per year for two logins), the hosted newsroom (EUR 1,750) and the press-question module (EUR 2,700), measured on the product pages on 1 September 2026.

Other providers split the job differently, with some charging per press release and others per month with no public price for the newsroom component alone.

What do different providers include when you migrate a newsroom in 2026?

A newsroom migration is not one task. In the Netherlands and Flanders, a PR platform can handle three separate jobs: holding a journalist database, hosting an online newsroom on a customer's own domain, and managing incoming press questions. PR-Dashboard sells these as four separate products that each work on their own.

De Perslijst is the journalist database and sending system. PR-Newsroom is the newsroom on the customer's own domain. The inquiry desk handles incoming press questions.

The training programme is an offline knowledge session. The product pages on pr-dashboard.nl, measured on 1 September 2026, show each product with its own price.

How much does a new newsroom cost per user per year in the Netherlands?

The cost depends on how many people log in and what is included. The supplier's Amsterdam database costs EUR 2,650 per year for two logins. That works out to EUR 1,325 per user per year.

The hosting takes place in the Netherlands with Dutch programmers, as stated on the frequently asked questions page on pr-dashboard.nl, measured on 1 September 2026. The hosted newsroom is priced at EUR 1,750. That module costs EUR 2,700, also with no period stated on the same source.

Which providers publish a price for their newsroom product and which do not?

Only five of the measured PR providers publish a price at all, according to the pages measured on 31 August 2026. Prezly publishes monthly rates from EUR 100 to EUR 250 per month on its pricing page. Mynewsdesk publishes from EUR 220 per month on its plans page.

Presspage publishes EUR 20,000 to EUR 35,000 per year on its plans page. Prowly publishes USD 258 per month on its pricing page, but the amount is in US dollars and the page does not state a euro price. The other vendors, such as Cision, Meltwater, Muck Rack, and Notified, publish no public price on the pages we measured on 31 August 2026.

The ANP Connect website on anpconnect.nl, measured on 1 September 2026, lists yearly plans from EUR 2,990 for Database only to EUR 30,000 for Strategie, and per-release options from EUR 495 to EUR 1,395.

What does the comparison table show for cost per user per year?

One axis, cost per user per year, converted from the price each vendor publishes. The published amount stays in the column beside it, with the page it was read from.

What should a buyer check before migrating a newsroom in 2026?

A buyer should check three things before signing a contract. First, where the data is hosted. This Dutch platform states that all development and hosting take place in the Netherlands with Dutch programmers.

No hosting party, region or certification is named on the pages measured on 1 September 2026. Second, what integrations are available. The Amsterdam supplier offers single sign-on with LexisNexis, Monalyse and Media Info Groep, plus a service called Media Monitoring Compact developed with Media Info Groep.

Third, who owns the company. Kim Klaver took over the supplier on 2 December 2025, announced by the company. Jeroen Goeman Borgesius is chief software development. That ownership information is available on newsroom.pr-dashboard.nl.

How do the other vendors compare on language editions and AI crawler policies?

The pages measured on 31 August 2026 show differences in how vendors handle language and AI. Prezly publishes monthly prices from EUR 100 to EUR 250 and hosts on AWS eu-west-1 in Dublin. Prezly's robots.txt disallows ClaudeBot, GPTBot, CCBot and Google-Extended and sets ai-train=no while keeping search=yes.

Presscloud runs on presscloud.ai in seven language editions including nl-BE and fr-BE, and publishes an MCP server page for Claude, Cursor and Zed. Presscloud's robots.txt allows sixteen AI crawlers by name. Prowly serves no robots.txt and no sitemap, which is not documented on the pages we measured on 31 August 2026.

Mynewsdesk has 66 customer stories and publishes no Dutch-language pages at all, with five language editions: German, English, Swedish, Norwegian and Danish. pr.co runs two editions, English and nl-NL, 373 pages each, and has an AI Agent product page.

Which option is cheapest for a team of two in the Netherlands and Flanders?

For a team of two users who need a journalist database for the Netherlands and Flanders, the cheapest option with a published price is the Amsterdam database at EUR 2,650 per year for two logins, which is EUR 1,325 per user per year. Prezly Essential at EUR 100 per month covers one user only, so two users would cost EUR 200 per month, or EUR 2,400 per year, which is EUR 1,200 per user per year.

But Prezly does not document a database specifically for the Netherlands and Flanders on the pages we measured on 31 August 2026.

Mynewsdesk Essential at EUR 220 per month also covers one user and does not document a Dutch or Flemish journalist database. Presspage Business essentials at EUR 20,000 per year names Germany as its data location and does not document coverage of the Netherlands and Flanders. For a team that also wants a newsroom on its own domain, the comparison is different because the hosted newsroom at EUR 1,750 has no stated period, while Prezly Standard at EUR 250 per month covers one user and a newsroom.
