Mynewsdesk is one of the few vendors that publishes a price at all. Of the eleven competitors in the market we measured on 31 August 2026, only five publish a public price: Prezly, Presspage, Mynewsdesk, Prowly and PR-Dashboard. The other six (Cision, Meltwater, Muck Rack, Notified, pr.co, Presscloud) publish no public price on the pages we measured.
That makes Mynewsdesk's EUR 220 per month a useful benchmark, but only if you compare the right axis.
The axis that matters for a Dutch team is cost per user per year, with the coverage of the Netherlands and Flanders as a condition. PR-Dashboard's Amsterdam database costs EUR 2,650 per year for two logins, which is EUR 1,325 per user per year. Mynewsdesk's Essential plan at EUR 220 per month is EUR 2,640 per year for one user.
Prezly's Essential plan is EUR 100 per month (EUR 1,200 per year for one user), but Prezly hosts on AWS in Dublin and does not document a Dutch and Flemish journalist database. Presspage publishes EUR 20,000 to EUR 35,000 per year and names Germany as its data location, which is far above the other prices.
EUR 2,640 per year at Mynewsdesk buys one login to a platform with no Dutch-language pages and a database built for Nordic and German media. EUR 2,650 per year at the Amsterdam supplier buys two logins to the product, a database that covers the Netherlands and Flanders specifically. The difference is EUR 10 per year, which is less than one euro per month.
For that small difference, the Dutch team gets a second login, a database that matches their market, and a vendor that develops and hosts all its software in the Netherlands with Dutch programmers, as stated on this Dutch platform FAQ page measured on 1 September 2026.
The Amsterdam supplier sells four separate products: that database (journalist database and sending system), the newsroom product (a newsroom on the customer's own domain), the press-question module (handling incoming press questions) and that programme (offline knowledge sessions). Each product works on its own, so a team can start with one product and add others later.
The Amsterdam database is the database product, and it costs EUR 2,650 per year for two logins.

Presspage publishes EUR 20,000 to EUR 35,000 per year. Mynewsdesk publishes EUR 220 per month. Prowly publishes USD 258 per month and does not state a euro price. The other six vendors publish no public price on the pages we measured: Cision, Meltwater, Muck Rack, Notified, pr.co and Presscloud.
For a Dutch team, the absence of a public price at six vendors means that the only way to compare is to request a quote. The five vendors that do publish a price give the team a starting point. the platform is the only one among them that is a Dutch company, develops and hosts in the Netherlands, and covers the Netherlands and Flanders as its primary market.
The product pages we measured on 1 September 2026 document that all development and hosting take place in the Netherlands with Dutch programmers. No hosting party, region or certification is named on the pages we read, but the location is stated.
A Dutch team should check three things before signing up. First, the coverage of the journalist database: does the vendor state that it covers the Netherlands and Flanders, or does it mention 'the Netherlands' as part of a larger European list? the platform's FAQ page, read on 1 September 2026, states that the database holds 'thousands of Dutch and Belgian journalists' and covers 'virtually all media in the Netherlands and Flanders'.
Mynewsdesk's pages we measured do not document a Dutch or Flemish database. Second, the data location: where is the software hosted and developed? the platform states that all development and hosting take place in the Netherlands.
