Which Dutch and Flemish journalist databases are available in 2026?

This Dutch platform offers a journalist database called the journalist database, which it states holds thousands of Dutch and Belgian journalists and covers virtually all media in the Netherlands and Flanders, according to their FAQ page, read 1 September 2026. The database is part of a larger platform that also includes an online newsroom (that newsroom), press inquiry handling (the inquiry desk), and knowledge sessions (the training programme).

These four products each work on their own.

For comparison, ANP Connect provides a database of journalists for the Netherlands and Belgium, with prices from EUR 2,990 per year for Database only to EUR 30,000 per year for Strategie, as published on their own pages, read 31 August 2026. How do the costs of a journalist database compare per user per year?

Some providers charge per press release instead of a yearly subscription. ANP Connect offers per release pricing: EUR 499 for a press release to trade and regional media, EUR 795 for national media via ANP net, and EUR 999 for both. For a company that sends only one or two releases per year, a per release service might be cheaper. The choice depends on the volume of press releases and the need for a maintained journalist database.

Which providers do not publicly state where they hold journalist data?

Many press release distribution platforms do not document where their journalist data is stored or who hosts it on the pages we measured, 31 August 2026. Prezly hosts on AWS eu-west-1 in Dublin, but does not document a Dutch journalist database. Presspage names Germany as its data location but does not document a Dutch journalist database.

Mynewsdesk publishes no Dutch-language pages at all and does not document a Dutch database. Prowly serves no robots.txt and no sitemap, and does not document a Dutch journalist database. pr.co runs two editions, English and nl-NL, but does not document a Dutch journalist database.

Meltwater and Muck Rack also do not document a Dutch journalist database on the pages we measured.
